Hellyers Road Distillery Original 15 Year Old Single Malt Australian Whisky (700ml)

With all vatting and marrying done in timber casks and non-chill filtered, this magnificent 15-year-old whisky delivers enhanced flavour attributes highlighted by vanilla and citrus tones entwined by a calming softness, a reflection of time spent in premium American Oak. No colouring is added to the natural golden tones derived during maturation.

At 15 years old, this is the oldest age-statement whisky Hellyers Road have ever released.

Belgrove Distillery 100% Rye Whisky (500ml)

Bright gold appearance. Immediately appealing and distinctive with its dill / pickle opening scents. Second pass offers chamomile tea, hints of boiled lolly, cedary oak and peppermint. A light, silky entry follows through to a super smooth and quite delicate profile featuring medium dry flavours of chamomile tea, sour dough bread and unusual notes of dill and caraway. Dry, mildly tannic finish. Aftertaste is subtle but shows good length.

Armorik Sherry Cask Single Malt (700ml)

Once upon a time a French whisky would have raised eyebrows, but now we are used to whiskies from all over the shop. Anyway, Armorik is from Brittany, which is cultural and linguistically close to Scotland, Ireland and especially Wales. The name Armorik refers to the old Roman province of Armorica which encompassed the Brittany peninsula. Enough ancient history, what about the whisky? It's a single malt distilled at the Warenghem Distillery not far from the port at Roscoff and aged in old Oloroso sherry casks.

Amrut Naarangi Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

Amrut presents another first of its kind – single malt whisky finished in orange sherry cask. Amrut procured Oloroso Sherry from Spain and then infused the sherry with fresh orange peels for over two years. Then the sherry was emptied and filled with Amrut Single Malt for further maturation. The result is an essay in elegance, notable yet not dominant orange sherry notes perfectly fused into the whisky flavour. Hence the name Naarangi – orange in Hindi.. Very limited stocks.

Bowmore 18 Year Old, Deep & Complex Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The 18 year old was launched in January of 2007 to replace the 17 year old.  According to the distillers, this expression contains a higher percentage of Oloroso & Pedro Ximenez Sherry cask-matured whisky.

 

This is reported to be the duty free version of Bowmore's 18 year old classic.

Kavalan Podium Single Malt Taiwanese Whisky (700ml)

Kavalan is Taiwan’s first whisky maker and the nation’s only family-owned whisky distillery. This particular whisky from Kavalan was an early production release. It has won several gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and ranked number one in Scotland and England’s tasting competition sponsored by the British Papers Times. The best Taiwan has to offer!

Gordon & MacPhail ‘Distillery Labels’ – Linkwood 15 Year Old Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

A 15-year-old single malt from Speyside, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. It was matured in first fill & refill sherry casks before being bottled in 2019 as part of the refreshed, Distillery Labels ranges, featuring a retro-styled label from days gone by.

A smooth and creamy whisky with sherry influence and a delicate spicy edge.

Cotswolds Odyssey Barley Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky is the first whisky ever distilled in the Cotswolds, England. 100% locally grown, floor-malted barley, matured in premium first-fill Kentucky ex-Bourbon 200 litre barrels and reconditioned American Oak 225 litre red wine casks that have been shaved, toasted and recharred. Bottled at 46% abv, non-chill filtered, no added colouring. This is no novice whisky, however, it's a highly enjoyable dram with notes of orange peel, spice, oaky malt and dark sugar.
